Well Done (song series)

His master said to him, Well done, good and faithful servantYou have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.
Matthew 25:21

My father just recently celebrated his 70th birthday.  He has been one that never rests his servant nature.  I actually think he has more volunteer jobs now than paid positions (yes, plural, positions) and does the same full-fledged effort in each as if they were the only one.  I admire him and his heart for God and people.  He has served in full-time ministry ever since I could remember and continues to give 100% to the work of the Lord even in his “retirement” years.  He is a great example of a humble servant and always has time to make a new friend and strike up a conversation with anyone he meets, anywhere he goes while sharing Christ and praying with them.

This song was inspired by Him and the work he has already done and continues to do.

Thank you for your example, Dad! I love you!

Well Done
Becki J Buescher

Another day to shine my light
To serve my God, from morn til night
To stir up laughter, share a smile
Make a friend, go the extra mile

And hope someday I hear Him say

Well done, well done
Good and faithful servant
You were called and finished strong
Well done, well done
Your reward has come
Good and faithful servant,   Well done

Follow in the footsteps gone before
Carry on the battle in this waging war
For truth we fight, for Christ we give
In His victory we will live

And hope someday I hear Him say

I want all to see God’s love through my eyes
May His trail of glory follow me
and pray I leave His legacy behind
that rises through each generation

Come and Be (song series)

“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters;”
Isaiah 55:1

There is absolutely no need that cannot be met by coming to God.  But know that what you think you need may not be what God has planned. Trust in His wisdom and provision in your life.  He knows your needs better than you do. He sees your heart. He loves you unconditionally and though He does not take pleasure in seeing His children suffer, He knows the best pathway for our greater good and His Glory.

He wants us to come to Him.  He wants us to rest in His arms and draw our strength, hope, and joy from Him and His presence in our lives.

It doesn’t matter where you have been, what you have done, or how you feel…just come.

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling, Calling for you and for me;
See, on the portals He’s waiting and watching,
Watching for you and for me.
Come home, come home,
 You who are weary, come home;

Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
 Calling, O sinner, come home!

Come and be
Becki J Buescher

Those who are broken and in pain
Come and be healed

Those who are empty and yearning
Come and be filled

If you are anxious and afraid
Come and be held

When you are weary and weak
Come and be still

Come to the water
Lay your burdens down
For your Savior bids you
Come, come and be found

When you are grieving and undone
Come and be loved

When you feel worthless and alone
Come and be known

If you feel guilty and ashamed
Come be redeemed

If you have wandered far away
Come and be home
