all who are weary and heavy-laden,
and I will give you rest.
Matthew
11:28
What does it mean to abide...to draw near…to live inseparable from someone or something? I have found that just relying on God and
resting in His perfect arms I am able to make it through whatever life throws
at me. I cannot do it alone. I must abide in Him and He in me to
survive. I couldn’t fathom it any other
way. I pray that if any of you are in a
state of brokenness or hopelessness, you will abide in the Father. He has the
answers and holds our future. He is our
strength and joy and our comfort in times of trouble and in times of rest.
Abide in me, and I in you.
As the
branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can
you, unless you abide in me.
I
am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides
in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for
apart from Me you
can do nothing.
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
By this
my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my
disciples. As
the Father has loved me, so have I loved you.
Abide in my love.
If
you keep my commandments, you will abide
in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.
These
things I have spoken to you,
that my joy
may be in you, and that your joy may
be full.
John 15:4-11
Abide
Becki J. Buescher
Be still broken one
For your comfort has come
Just rest here a while
The rain will soon be gone
This will pass, I know
The sun will shine
Hold me close until
The light reaches my eyesAbide (x3)
For all that is true
Is found in You
All that I need
In You I see
Come weak
and heavy laden
I will give
you rest (2x)
